Our Coffee Is About Relationships
Not very long ago we lived in a time when a contract was sealed by a hand shake and your word meant something. This in many ways is what we define as relationship coffee. All of our coffees come from individuals who we are building relationships with, farmers who we are not just committed to for a short time but for the long haul. These results are not measured in corporate spread sheets and financials but instead the lives of those that have been changed, the scholls and medical clinics that have been established and the fresh water wells that are available when before there were none. Not only are we committed to purchasing their coffee and paying a fair price but we also assist them in the improvement of their coffee, teaching them about creating a quality product along with sustainable agricultural practices. All this and our coffee tastes great!
Our Roasted Coffee
There have been many changes made in the world around us in the past few years, one change we refuse to make is to roast our coffee in a way that does not bring out each beans unique and flavorful characteristic. We compare it to chocolate chip cookies that your mom makes at home, she watches them, noticed their color, the time they have been in the oven, ensuring that they come out soft, hot and tasty. That is the same way our roast master roasts our beans, he roasts each origin coffee separately, listening for the sound of the beans that indicate what part of the roast they are at, he notices color, smell and time, adjusting heat as needed to ensure that they are dropped into the cooling tray at just the precise moment.
